Responsive and adaptable yoga for changing times, yoga for life

As we “hold” a yoga pose, we practice becoming responsive and adaptable–certain physical and often subtle movements while in a pose give us moment by moment shifts and responses to explore. We think: “Move this thigh back, ground this foot… what happens… we observe… oh, now straighten this arm… ah yes, feel that…”

As we explore our yoga poses, we train ourselves to be present, responsive, and adaptable. As best we can, constantly pivoting to adapt to the present circumstances and conditions.

The times we live in demand it of us!

The above pictured manzanita virtually growing out of the sheer rock cliff, hanging on and ostensibly thriving, is quite an example of being responsive to the circumstances and adapting!
