Homeward bound!

Thank the ever-restless and active mind that leads us to its source and resting place, the heart.

If not for this unrest, would it seek its rest?

If not for being wayward, would it yearn for and seek its home?

Yoga and meditation are the path we can take, homeward bound.

The gateway drug

Love is the gateway drug to any yogi.

Totally, completely safe with no dangerous side effects (except for maybe spontaneous laughter, smiles, dancing or overgenerous acts of kindness).

The cost–the effort and time to practice.

Beware of deep happiness. It can become addicting. You might just become a regular “user.”

Love is the drug….

Well-seasoned!

We season food to make it taste better.

How about our lives?

Why not season it with more love, joy, peace of mind, calmness, and make it tastier!?

We know our yoga practices can bring more of this into our life.

And if we can make the effort and practice regularly, we can season our lives more with the benefits of practice.

Yum, yum!… More delicious life!

Bon appétit!

From this different view of witness consciousness

When we are high above things looking down–like in a plane or atop a tall building–things seems smaller far below, less big, less overwhelming.

Such is witness consciousness to our lives. The significance the ego puts on things lessens, being judgmental lessens, things seem less “ours” and we become more merely present. We can think more clearly, and be more accepting of everything. From this vantage point, we are freer to choose more wisely, having a bigger picture.

Such is the big picture of witness consciousness.

Such is the human heart that loves.

Happy birth day!

The yogic sages and poets celebrate this human birth as the highest and greatest of callings–to realize and share the Light while living it in this human body.

This is the pinnacle of human experience.

Human birth–the ultimate gift and blessing, and opportunity.

May our yoga and meditation practices guide and nurture our journey propelling us ever-deeper into love, compassion, and joy, into this Light to share it here on earth!

Free to love!

In this sea of ever-changing circumstance, yoga and meditation can help us find our ballast, that which steadies us no matter what the circumstances.

We learn through practice to become more rooted in this, less often swept away, and never lost at sea. Through the practices, we return to this center.

And from this center or ever-present steadiness, we are all the more free to love with great compassion.

Yoga diet

A steady diet of yoga and meditation can help us take pounds off…

our shoulders, our hearts,

and feel freer and lighter,

more in love.

And oh yes, yoga and meditation can help us really take pounds off.*

*Get more fit, toned, and slimmer

Swingers need a rest, right!?

One reason we meditate and do yoga is to give our active mind, which swings from thought to thought like a monkey from branch to branch, a rest.

A chance to slow down, to reset, to refresh, like rising from a good night’s sleep, renewed and ready to swing again.
