Caught up in the web!

We are “caught” in an endless web of giving and receiving.

Our inhales, we receive the breath, the life force, the prana, and all it does to enliven us.

Our exhales, we give our breath back to the planet and all that that need our carbon dioxide.

Giving and receiving… Caught in this endless web of life, in union with it, one with in yoga, yoked to it.

We are all caught up in it, thank goodness, for life!

Giving back to this world!

In yoga, we take the support of props to help us in poses.

We can see and feel the support all around us from this world if we look at it the right way.

The natural response is gratitude, wanting to give back to that which gives to us.

We can support this world by giving back to it in love.

Growing possibilities

Yoga and meditation can tune us into a space where, with love, we give our best, which is great and awesome just as it is, and in which there’s always room for learning and improvement.

Peaceful love… very human love. Always growing… always, with effort on our part, more than enough, certainly good enough… and open to improvement and change.

Like seeds in the ground, we can be rooted and growing possibilities!

The professor is in!

Remember how college professors would have drop-in hours for consultation and questions?

Now, picture the Self with drop-in hours, however not with limited times, but always available 24/7.

Our yoga and meditation practices allow us to drop-in or align our ego or smaller self with the Self, the universal.

We can drop in at any time for consultation and help….

Drop-in at any time!

Expanding the shores of our being

What is our collective responsibility to ourselves, to one another, and to humanity?

Yoga and meditation can expand the shores of our being beyond our self as we practice and develop a relationship with that which unites us, with that which is universal.

Let knowing our common ground become… less common.

Breathe, and tap in!

After a good night’s sleep, we feel so refreshed. As we get busy during the day, we can often lose ourselves in our busy-ness and can feel overwhelmed.

However, there are so many ways throughout our busy day to refresh or reset ourselves–to draw back and recenter, to catch a breath of fresh air and refresh our perspective.

We can renew ourselves with a few moments of conscious, slow breathing–a stretching yoga pose with attention to slowing the breath, a few full breaths as we sit at our desk with our mind focused just on this… a step outside with a few slower, conscious breaths….

Formal yoga and meditation times are not the only times we can tap into this special place and renew ourselves.

We can tap in at any point we notice we need it.

Tapping in is really just a breath away!

All perfect… and not

Life is always changing.

Within the peaceful moment of rest, there is the next of action.

Within the flower bud is the flower and the wilted flower and its decayed remains.

Within this moment of yoga, feeling the union of all things, there is stepping out of this so and rare and beautiful state.

This “desire” or fact of change is as natural as the blowing wind.

In this moment of peace is the next step out of rest… to action.

There is always the next step inherent in the rest…

This perfect moment, followed by the next–the seed, the tree, the fallen tree, the stump… the soil… the new tree.

All perfect, ready to change. ALIVE!

Reset yourself!

Clearing the desk of all its piles, you feel renewed and ready to go…. Reset.

Waking up after a good night’s rest, refreshed and ready for the day…. Reset.

Downdog, plank. Reset!

Watching your breath for a few rounds. Reset!

Legs Up the Wall. Reset!

Alternate Nostril Breathing (Nadi Shodhana) or Breath of Fire (Kapalabhati). Reset.

Warrior 1, Warrior 2, Tree Pose. Reset!

Take a moment to clear your desk. Wake up refreshed, ready to go.

RESET!
