God bless you!
Windows open, sweeping, pulling down the cobwebs, cleaning out a dirty closet or drawers, maybe moving some furniture around–spring cleaning!
Helping your home sparkle.
So too with yoga and meditation.
Sparkle!
You know that wonderful feeling when the spring air warms enough that you can open your windows and let the fresh air in?
Invigorating, uplifting, renewing.
Such are yoga and meditation,
a real breath of fresh air!

We all have lots of habits–some good, some not so good.
Here’s one habit, tantamount to all, that’s most helpful.
Each morning before you start your day, meditate.
Start with maybe 5 or 10 minutes, and increase as you feel. But no matter what, do it daily, no matter how brief, or long. Simply meditate!
It’s most refreshing to return to our source first thing every day–renewing, re-energizing, calming, centering, filled with joy, love, and compassion.
Now, isn’t that a habit we all can benefit from!?
We renew ourselves by returning to our essence. This essential energy or life force enlivens the active play of thoughts and emotions and actions on the stage our being.
Yoga and meditation give us the tools–the practices–to take this journey repeatedly back,
whenever we want .
The silent stage is abuzz with the creative potential of the Self.
A flower opening is alive with this potential in stillness,
like a silent dance party!
In this play of life, there are no predetermined or “correct” lines to say or courses of action.
We can only play our roles, or do our dharma, with great love and respect and try to do what is best for everyone involved with good effort and compassion.
When and if we stumble in our “role,” we can pick ourselves up or take the helping hand of another to get up and continue where we left off.
In short, we can play our part with heart.
Now that’s theater that’s really alive!
As the stage is the forum for the play in all its machinations to ensue, so too the mind for its play of thoughts, emotions… for all its machinations.
The empty stage, so silent, awaiting its flurry of activity. So too the mind!
This pregnant silence, so full of possibilities!
Curtain rising… actors in place. Let the play begin!
We never really know what outfits the Self will suddenly wear on the stage of life.
Embracing the mystery of life means accepting whatever comes on stage–no matter what the specific scene, with deep love and respect for this ebullient life spirit that creates and enlivens this mysterious and wondrous play of life
The Self, with it infinite costume racks, is the change artist extraordinaire!
Here’s to life–precious and elegant–alive with possibilities which yoga and meditation help awaken us to.
Alive is change.
