Open to yoga!

Transformation is a process of letting go–from what we sense we can manage, contain, or control into that which is new for us. It is a venture.

This transformation is a gift of the practices, the sweet fruit of our efforts, a gift of grace.

We poise ourselves to open and align ourselves to receive it through our yoga and meditation.

See you at yoga!

The graceful oculist

The transformative power of yoga is like going to a Grand Oculist who changes the prescription of our glasses, literally changing our vision, our experience of the world.

Our part is doing the practices–asana (poses), pranayama (breath work), meditation, chanting…

and trusting the processes they unleash and welcome.

Hold on a minute!

So much yoga is fast these days. Popular vinyasa can be one pose per breath–inhale into the pose, exhale out.

Another way to do yoga is to hold poses several breaths, even several minutes.

Try this, and you will probably notice a point early on when you habitually want to exit the pose.

Stay in it, and breathe. See where the pose goes….

Allow it to bloom!
