We carry the light forward in the good deeds and kindness we offer to ourselves and to others, in our compassion.
Together, we can make a whole lot of light!
We carry the light forward in the good deeds and kindness we offer to ourselves and to others, in our compassion.
Together, we can make a whole lot of light!
The word guru means from darkness to light.
What can move you from darkness to light, or at least to more light?
We practice yoga and meditation for this transformation…
again and again…
and bring this not only to ourselves, but to the world.
Hail to that which bring us from darkness to light!
Inner peace is a keyhole to a beautiful world.
Our yoga and meditation are the keys to open this door.
Practice is key!
Literally!
Steady presence is the gift of yoga.
We develop it with practice, and then we can draw on it during mercurial times and dangerous events.
Added to keen awareness, also sharpened by practice, we gain lifelong responsiveness.
Nature is a grand re-union
you can find your heart in.
As you meditate, your smaller self drops into your larger Self.
It is a reunion of sorts to return to your source.
This re-union of the self to the Self, this yoking of the self to the Self, this yoga is nothing to take for granite.
No homecoming ever is!
We are all the contracted form of the Self, the form of the formless.
We bring our self to the Self each yoga and meditation practice to remind us of who we are in the midst of this busy world.
The practices revive our recollection of this connection; they revive our experience of this oneness.
Smile, again and again, at this recollection! Remember to make time in your day for a little self to Self resuscitation!
In yoga and meditation, sense the free flow of breath throughout your body.
In pranayama, we directly work with the breath.
There are no limits of the formless, air, within this form, the body!
At times, the pathway to the heart is a thicket of brambles with no clearway.
Though the way may not be clear-cut, the teacher’s steadying presence can help us.
The teacher, who’s walked this path and knows the way, can lead us around and through to the other side.
In yoga poses, we almost always pay attention to and work or move around the midline or our center.
What is the midline between your and me?
That which does no harm or less harm to us both, that which is mutually beneficial.
Out of love and respect, we find this midline.
This is how we build common ground, or community.
Let’s you and I find the midline between us, our center, our common ground, what is mutually beneficial. Let’s build community!
