Rock solid

All kinds of feelings come and go. The steadiness remains throughout.

The steadiness does not try to stop the feelings.

The feelings do not rock the steadiness.

They exist in harmony.

Through yoga and meditation, we become more and more this witness, this steadiness, freer to feel it all and not be so rocked by it!

Almost certainly certain

There’s one thing I am certain of, and that’s that everything is uncertain. Well, I’m almost certainly certain….

Given this, the mind can only truly become calm if it accepts uncertainty.

The mind that does not try to “fix” things but that can accept uncertainty can settle more.

Yoga and breathing can help this happen during these very uncertain times.

This I am almost certainly certain of… for sure!

Wherever you go…

Aren’t we all a little bit like the Peanuts‘ comic’s Pig Pen in that we all carry this swirl around with us?

Yoga allows us, no empowers us, to come clean, or at least more clean, over time.

The processes of yoga are like the ultimate self-cleaning oven that, over time, nurture and deepen our contentment and inner peace.

Wherever you go, there you are!

Where can you find refuge?

Where can the most intimate parts of ourselves seek refuge?

In the breath, in yoga, in nature, in a mantra… in God?…

Where can you find refuge?

What sings to your heart and soul, into and through your core and beyond?

We graciously go there to soothe, replenish, and strengthen.
