Really humming

Get your vibe back and try some humming. You can do so ever so quietly or not, depending on your mood and/or situation.

Try it… while you do yoga or meditate, in the garden, as you drive, in the kitchen… anytime, wherever.

It’s sure to lift your spirits some and, who knows, it might get you really humming again!

Life’s value is so easily hidden

Life with its obvious suffering, its infinite variety of machinations–some “good” and some “bad”–may not reveal its value.

This makes it difficult to see that we may all be grand prize winners and never realize it.

Yoga and meditation can reveal the dignity and value of this existence we all equally share.

It is for this “needle in the haystack” we practice.

Who cannot help but feel better–whether physically, emotionally, spiritually, or energetically–in its presence.

It is at the seat of all our being. None of us have more or less of it than anyone else. We equally share it.

Are you willing to work to reveal this grand prize that’s been with us all along?

Welcome to the practice!

All in a smile

May our yoga and meditation practices bring us great joy. The ripples of this joy emanate beyond us to others.

May we all be uplifted by its joyous nature, and may our lips’ corners naturally lift to shed its rays in our spontaneous smile.

Altered perspectives, altered life

We do a lot to enhance our mood, to improve our perspective on things. (We need not go into the litany of things we do to do this!)

Yoga and meditation do not change the circumstances or events before us, but they do transform our experience of them.

Altered, we may see things differently and respond differently, thus altering our experience.

Altered and improved moods and perspectives can thereby change our experiences and, over time, our lives.

Altered, transformed, improved…

The practices do a life good!

Less in the dark

As we practice over time and our practice deepens, the universal Light may bring light to our darkness–things that lurk in the background or unnecessary limits based on fear and ignorance of who we are.

With light or awareness to them, these limits are no longer in the dark.

When they are lit up by awareness or consciousness, we are no longer blind to these previous blind spots.

This is the work of the Light activated and supported via yoga and meditation.

The practices literally help us be less in the dark!

Our only identity constant

We are the witness of our being.

It’s the only one thing that’s been with us since birth aside from our first name (unless we’ve changed that too!).

Through yoga and meditation, we can come to know this witness.

Amidst this swirl of ever-changing thoughts and feelings, cells of our bodies, and events of our lives, there is this resonate stillness that witnesses our life and that of others.

In this swirl of life, our only really true identity that remains with us for life is the witness of it all.

It is our identity constant (especially if you’ve even changed your name!).

A lighter world

The spiritual teacher or master offers us their light, and this is an example of how to live.

We can follow this example and offer our light. (Our yoga and meditation practices can help us stay more focused on this light.)

In this way, all of our lights together can help make this world a brighter place.

Share your light, share your love! Let’s help make this world lighter!
