There is yoga in the mico-adjustments in a yoga pose and in meditation.
As we can draw our attention and breath to these micro-adjustments, the pose or meditation evolves and possibly deepens and opens.
In this ever-so subtle space, yoga happens.

In meditation instructions, we are often told to refresh our posture–to take a few deep breaths, to ground our sit bones, to relax the shoulders and elongate the spine….
Through yoga poses, breath work, meditation, and self-study, we “refresh our posture” in relation to our lives and the world–our perspective shifts from a contracted heavier state to a more expansive and uplifted one, and we somehow feel better.
Situations in our lives may not have changed at all, but we have changed; we have refreshed our posture with respect to them.
And what a difference in our lives and the world this can make!
The steadiness of practice is faith in action.
Such steadiness allows one t let go like the bike rider of the handlebars.
Fear not fear.
Use your discrimination or intellect to determine if the danger is real.
If it is, take precautions and adjust your course as necessary to be safe.
Yoga and meditation provide the steadiness to make such determinations.
On this Black Friday, I have to confess consumerism need not involve going to any store or making on-line purchases.
I have times when I think satisfaction will come with that next transformation or going just little bit deeper in a yoga pose or in meditation.
Just a little bit more, then…
Enough is enough.
More will never be enough! It will always require more.
However, when we move from enough, we always have enough of our hearts and souls to share generously with others… because there’s always enough.
Enough is enough is not a goal we reach, but a constant practice we must return to again and again, a yoga in itself.
Enough!
Gratitude rests our hearts and souls from their near-constant striving, wanting, and unrest.
Focusing on our gratitude, it can blossom into contentment and greater inner peace.
We relax some from our grasping and needing.
Our requisite happiness does not hinge on desire fulfilled–this carrot-and-stick ad nauseam.
This play at gratitude and contentment has great potential to incrementally free us.
Practice it, and see.
Regular installments of gratitude build up our warehouse of contentment.
The greater our contentment, the less our neediness for anything to satisfy us.
A never-ending warehouse of contentment can feed multitudes.
Regular yoga and meditation can help you stock your warehouse of contentment.
It’s a really great thing to be grateful to do what you do.
Grateful service is so full of grace!
It’s such an honor.
Even wisps of turkey cooking in the air are enough to wet our Thanksgiving appetites.
Such are the palatable benefits of our yoga and meditation fueling our appetite for continued practice and commitment.
In meditation, we can listen to the whispers of the heart and attune to its subtle sensations.
