Words fail to describe you like grabbing at fog.
Amidst sensations and turmoil of many unrestful thoughts and feelings,
the peaceful garden whispers, butterfly’s orange wings flapping.

Through yoga and meditation, you turn your senses inward. As the whirlpool of the world starts to settle, you begin to feel the relative stillness.
Feel the peace in the stillness,
and contentedly delight in it.
As part of my yoga/meditation practice, the inner smile and a laugh have become my saving grace. They are among the quickest and most reliable vehicles to more inner peace.
They give me much greater resilience with what is. Like shock absorbers, they absorb much of the the bumps and help steady the ride day in and day out.
I am not usually a betting man, but a long time ago (over 43 years), I put my money (my commitment of time daily) on meditation and yoga for my deeper inner peace, happiness, and joy.
At this time, I’d wager to say this was a bet of a lifetime.
Perfect and permanent inner peace remains an ideal possibly never reachable.
However, I do know that through our yoga/meditation practice we can regularly dip into this peace within us.
Sometimes just coming to our mat or meditation posture, only practicing a few moments, we feel this peace.
Other times, we have to go deep through more chaos and disorder before reaching it.
Practice, and dip your cup in stiller waters. Drink up. Even a sip can have amazing effects!
Yoga and meditation can be a pathway to greater inner peace.
Lord knows we need it!
Imagine a world with people touched by peace….
Words affect us deeply. They shape our thoughts… which shape our lives, our perspective, and feelings.
We can harness this power of words through mantra repetition to carry us to the space beyond words, to carry us home.
In the quiet of the mind in meditation, we can become more intimate with the mind.
In the growing awe and respect and love, discover its creative power to sculpt life.
In this space of intimacy and respect, you can stop getting caught in quarrels with the mind and become friends for life.
Your roaming mind is often everywhere but here. Just like mine.
43 years ago I started this journey.
Is it here now anymore than it was then?
I don’t really know. Really too long ago.
But, I keep practicing, every day.
“Blah, blah, blah” goes the mind.
“I can’t meditate! My mind is never quiet!”
So it goes for most beginning meditation.
As you watch your breath or repeat your mantra, pay attention to even the most miniscule of slowing of thoughts or even the briefest of breaks in mind action.
Relish this slowing like a slow dance to your favorite music.
Slip into its trance…
Meditate!
