A taste of the fruit

The rasa, the juiciness of our practice, feeds our devotion.

A taste of this delicious fruit of our practices drives our devotion.

So delicious, so satisfying… so happy… like none other!

It brings us back again and again.

All from continued practice–devoted and disciplined.

Drop in for a visit any time

We all know the habitual pull of the outside world.

Nevertheless, we can, at any time, regain our center, slow down and become calmer and quieter inside.

How?

Take a few breaths slow and steady with eyes open or closed… maybe even a few ujjayi or ocean breaths. We can repeat our mantra. Or do a few simple and readily available yoga poses, even in a chair. We can visualize a spiritual teacher and focus on them for a few moments. Remembering our inner smile or a few breaths and moments in nature can bring us back.

We can drop in for a visit any time! Lest we forget, we are always welcome with great love and respect in the house of the Self!

It’s a real honor

Of course, everything about us is the vital life force, the prana–our thoughts, our feelings, our words, our actions….

Bow to and honor with great respect that which lives and creates you… me… and everyone, and all of life.

In the forests of our lives, take time to honor and develop your relationship with the prana through your yoga and meditation practices.

It’s an amazing and real honor!

Life adventurers! Lessons from the mat…

We all know in a yoga session when we have pushed too hard and injured ourselves.

We have pushed our edge too far. Rather than gain, we have caused excess pain.

Playing our edge requires we move out of the totally familiar and comfortable, but not willy-nilly.

Thoughtfully and sensitively we find our edge where there is discomfort. We back off from sharp or excessive pain, and we tease or play at this edge skillfully and with curiosity and delight.

Exploring the edge of our yoga poses, we can become pioneers of our edge through our asana practice.

This can train or teach us to be thoughtful and sensitive explorers off the mat as well.

Hi-ho! Yoga explorers… life awaits you!

The dream is alive!

Form an intention that is good for you and everyone involved.

Hold it in your heart and mind like a mantra, and put your efforts to make it happen.

Then get out of the way, because ultimately all dreams have a life of their own.

Dream big… live enchantedly large!
