Deliverance
There’s nowhere to arrive to because you’re already there!
Yoga and meditation, all the limbs of yoga, help “deliver” you there.
Like a beautiful rose opening, the practices open you to what’s been there all along….
More than poses or Using all the limbs
To propel yourself forward in your yoga, do not limit yourself to just poses or asanas.
This would be like trying to walk on only one leg. You wouldn’t get very far!
Begin to explore and actively engage all the limbs of yoga–the teachings or sutras, breath work or pranayama, meditation….
See where this carries you.

Be drawn into silence by the breath
In meditation, repeat the natural mantra, the sound of the breath coming in Ham* (“I am”) and the breath going out Sa (“That”).
Again and again inhale Ham, exhale Sa–“I am That,” the supreme Self.
Be drawn into its silence.
Even glimpses of it profound and palpable silence speak volumes.
*Ham is not pronounced like the meat ham, but rather with more the short o sound as in hom.
Have good cheer, my friend!
Be moved to good humor
through your yoga and meditation.
You and the world will be happy for this–
deeply, deeply happy!
Altering our point of view
Yoga and meditation may not change our situation,
but they certainly can change our relationship to it.
Yoga and meditation may not radically alter the world,
but they certainly will alter your world!
Turning you life inside out
Live your dreams,
and turn your life inside out.
Happy birthday pose!
Here I am in happy birthday pose, (ananda janmadivasahasana).*
May peace, love, joy, bliss, and the deepest of happiness bless your lives, and flow to you through your yoga and meditation practices.
Namaste!
And remember, every day… and every moment are a sort of birth day–anew, fresh, vibrating wondrously with the life or vital force, the prana.
Alive!!
*actually, every pose is birthday pose!
Discovering your lightness of being
We often lock in to certain feelings, emotions, or thoughts that weigh us down and can unnecessarily cause suffering.
We all know that life can be hard. However, we often become needlessly attached.
Our yoga and meditation practices can help.
They can loosen our grip, even help us smile or laugh and discover where once was heaviness and undue stress now arises an incredible freedom and a lightness of being.
It is quite miraculous when a mere chuckle or smile can in an instant lift that heaviness and free us so compassionately!
Overwhelming love, overwhelming peace
Overwhelming waves of love can carry us blissfully to the shores of inner peace.
Gratefully we can applaud with sheer, unmitigated, soul-piercing happiness and a life-affirming, glowing peaceful smile.
Joyfully bring this to our troubled world.
Practice yoga and meditate.
