As the mind quiets, we enter the temple of the heart.
We slip into this space through the midpoint of the breath, the gap between the inhale and exhale.
As the mind quiets, we enter the temple of the heart.
We slip into this space through the midpoint of the breath, the gap between the inhale and exhale.
A 30-foot oak treee can come crashing down at any time in your garden of roses, crushing many of them.
We pick ourselves up when such mishaps happen.
Let this be a metaphor to live by again and again.
Yoga can help us with the equipoise to recover gracefully.
Inner peace does not leave me.
I stray from it.
Yoga is the path back again and again. And yoga teaches me how to better remain there or at least more in its vicinity, how to better hold that space and feel its ever-present support.
Yoga is not about putting a happy face on everything, but it is the journey to the source of this happy face.
Rediscovering it again, and again… and again!
How do you feed your hungry heart?
How do you feed your happy heart?
That’s truly delicious!
Your heart’s content.
Even a little bit of peace
can be a lot!
Care for this seedling, and it will grow.
Feel the protection of love and kindness and peace.
This world can protest in its restless ways.
Parched, dry lands are very absorbent.
In these COVID times, we may not be able to join hands in support, but we can certainly join hearts through our kind and loving acts.
Parched land is very absorbent!
The balance point between you and me is what’s mutually beneficial.
Ahimsa, the effort to do no harm or at least less, and maybe even be of benefit to one another…
Mask or no mask?
Practice social distancing?
Washing your hands?
All for one, and one for all!
A forest of thoughts can cloud our vision of the sky.
Such it is with love….
Meditation and yoga can refocus us on even the tiniest of spaces.
And even just a bit of sky is part of the entire sky.
So too with love!
A complete yoga practice does not mean doing every type of practice every day.
It means having a repertoire of poses, breath work, and meditation to pick from to do when it seems most helpful and fits the circumstances available.
At certain points, we are more drawn to particular practices.
This is completely what you need!
