Quiet is not a luxury,
though even a moment of it in meditation can feel so luxurious.
Quiet is not a luxury,
though even a moment of it in meditation can feel so luxurious.
At points in meditation, we may get glimpses of the vast canyon of space between the inhale and the exhale and the exhale and the inhale.
Take my hand, and let’s explore its depths together!
It is one thing to know something in one’s head,
but quite another to know it in one’s bones.
The yoga journey makes “knowledge” ever-more palpable and deeper…
until we are vibrating with it, even deeper than our bones!
In golf, the dream is to develop a “grooved” swing–a reliable and proficient usual stroke that consistently hits the ball well and is adaptable to all kinds of situations.
This takes lots and lots of practice!
Such it is with yoga and meditation.
With steady practice, you will start to find your “grove.”
Practice your yoga and meditation with the understanding that each inhale and exhale is the whisper of the universal life force.*
What is it telling you?
*the prana
At times, we come to rest, and revitalize in the core of our being.
As we regularly practice our meditation and/or yoga, our propensity for this becomes more common, and we both more often come into its vicinity and deeply in its presence.
Deep waters run still–or at least more still than the often choppy surface waters so effected by the winds and the weather.
Such it is with our mind–on the surface so often agitated and blown about by the events and feelings of everyday life.
Meditation and yoga allow us to drop beneath these rougher waters and experience greater stillness and the main currents at the depth of our being.
Meditate and/or do yoga and dive deep!
Where effort meets grace–whether it be on the yoga mat, in meditation… or in life–we can have take-off.
Steady committed effort –intention–plus grace… can grace a lifetime!
Is it possible to
explode with gratitude?
Find your own ritual around meditation. Develop habits of practice that attract you–some specially set up place to practice, at maybe the same time of day, with “artifacts” that draw you into the space.
And let your regular meditation be like a “familiar” walk in the woods to traverse the landscape of your being and see what the new day brings.
