Through yoga and meditation, it is not that we rid ourselves of our unrest and turbulence.
Rather, we can develop and maintain greater evenness and peace even with our “unpeace.”
Through yoga and meditation, it is not that we rid ourselves of our unrest and turbulence.
Rather, we can develop and maintain greater evenness and peace even with our “unpeace.”
Peace is as close as the mind settling.
Bring the breath to the mind via yoga and/or meditation,
and you will begin to discover the peace that is always there when you are quiet enough to recognize it.
You can regularly visit this peace via your yoga and meditation practices to develop and maintain a lasting relationship with it.
We all know, through the action of yeast, air lifts a blob of dough into a loaf of bread.
Meditation is an “active agent” like yeast through which the breath, air, uplifts our very being!
In meditation and yoga as the breath and mind slow, we may enter the space between, a place of not doing but of being.
No matter how brief our venture into this space, even in its mere vicinity…
this can make all the difference in the world!
Silence has so much to say!
But given its nature,
it’s unlikely to put it into words.
Go there and explore!
What lies in the space between the thoughts and between the breaths?
An expanse of infinite silence is always there, quietly waiting….
Meditate on this!
The space between our breaths likens to the space between our thoughts.
As the breath slows in yoga and meditation, let your mind rest in these middle spaces–after inhale… and after exhale.
Let yourself be drawn into it….
Mediate on the space between.
In yoga and meditation, your thoughts may slow down, and you may notice a gap between your thoughts.
Especially in meditation, allow your mind to rest in and explore these gaps, and see what you discover.
What if our heart and mind were one?
What would we experience then?
Yoga and meditation can help to make this real.
Right beneath our very nose (and actually within it!) is the life force, the prana, breathing life into us.
The breath of life actually vibrates with life.
Through yoga and meditation, your are unearthing this “buried” treasure and becoming more aware of its riches!
