Elemental support!

Thank you, air that I breathe,

Earth that I stand on,

Water that I drink,

Digestive fire that gives me energy.

The sun’s fire, water, soil of the earth, and air–you support or grow the plants that we eat….

Most elemental support!

Thank you yoga mat that gives me good footing and meditation cushion for a comfortable seat,

Breath and prana that flow in Vinyasa

Creating heat in this body–

Thank you for this most elemental support.

You are everywhere!

What’s love got to do with it?(revisited)

How can I assist you?

And how can you assist me?

How can I be of support or assistance to those people and things that support me?

How can we support one another?

This cycle of giving and receiving, and the gratitude it inspires, this too is yoga.

Start trying to notice and acknowledge who and what supports or assists you. Notice the gratitude that arises, and then possibly offer something back to it.  This is a practice!

The yogic journey

Glimpses of samadhi or bliss encourages and coaxes the mind to give up its habitual attachment to thoughts, sensations, and experience.

The friction of yogic practices over time (sadhana) burns up these habitual attachments (and aversions) so the mind becomes freer and freer to rest in itself–the witness and supreme bliss, its very nature.

Thank you, yoga!

Yoga and meditation can help us move beyond our habits of being that limit our experience of joy, happiness, and love.

There is no standard to be met to be loved and accepted.

The running stops when everything is acceptable just as it is.

Yoga and meditation can bring such contentment and fulfillment.

Coming clean!

Much of yoga and meditation reminds me of cleaning.

Our inner clutter is rearranged, tossing out what’s no longer needed, arranging things you keep so they are not scattered willy-nilly all over the place,

more ready to be lived in and used… creating a more comfortable space… a happier space to live in and share!
