Friends for life!

Like the extended hand of a good friend, yoga and meditation are always there for me.

Neither a fair-weather friend nor one of convenience, each forever loyally and generously offers their compassionate and loving support and guidance, with the best they have at the time.

Never the same person twice!

Yoga and meditation are ways to relate to this evolving person, accepting what is happening now, and… a week from now.

Unlike our fingerprints, I am never really the same person twice.

The breath is happening now in this body.  Focusing our attention on it brings the mind out of its reveries to this person we are right now, and to this person we are… a week from now.

This is life!

In meditation and yoga, we become aware of the teeming of life, vibrating like little protozoans in a drop of water.

We are alive!

We can feel this space again and again, no matter what our age or health.

This is something worth celebrating, don’t you think?

A well-deserved vacation

We all know how good it feels to relax.

Our breath and thoughts get slower, our heart a little lighter.  Our lips might part and smile.

There’s an ease.  There’s a sense of relief… for a bit.

We take breaks and vacations to come back to ourselves, “a new man/woman.”

Such is meditation!  Practice even just a little every day, and see where it will take you!
