On the wings of meditation and yoga, we soar on the breath–movement that stills us into silence.

Engendering courage for both our worlds
Courage for the outer journey, Warrior 2: You are stable and strong in the legs and lower torso, ready, looking into the world, radiating outward, courageous to do your work in the world.
Courage for the inner journey, Reverse Warrior: Still stable and strong in the legs and lower torso, your energy reverts inward with the forward arm reaching back, the lifted hand like a mirror for you to see yourself, back into yourself, arousing the courage to do the inner work.
My bitchin’ yogic kitchen!
After my first weekend of yoga teacher training, a lot is stewing!*
Yesterday, I felt like I was fermenting kombucha.
Today, churning like butter.
I hope tomorrow… not like mincemeat!
*Needless to say, there’s a lot to digest!
The ecstatic dance of life
Life is an ever-changing dance of creation abounding with joy and bliss around our energetic center.
Through yoga and meditation, I align with this more, and I bow to it again again in awe and gratitude.
The infinite sky embraces it all!
No matter at times how dark the clouds, the sun brilliantly shines.
Meditation and yoga can help you be present to both simultaneously.
The infinite sky embraces it all!
Breaking free
Prior to beginning as a meditator, most of us have our attention forever captivated by our thoughts and emotions, subject to their ride.
Through meditation, we sever this blind attachment, and our attention is free to begin to discover who we really are.
After 41 years, it’s high time!…
After 41 years of almost daily yoga and meditation, I feel it’s high time to take yoga teacher training.
At least I hope it’s a high time!
Training starts this evening…
Striking it rich!
Yoga and mediation excavate our inner landscape unearthing our natural joy.
It bubbles up out of the depths of our being.
The quiet one in the room
Dear silence,
You enter the room so quietly, I hardly notice you.
In this room crowded with talking, when my attention comes to you, you are like a vacuum sucking the chatter out of me into your quiet bowels.
Once more, you leave me dumbfounded and amazed.
Not flashy in your ways, you, the quiet one, are the often most overlooked beauty in the room.
You, the quite one, entrance me!
Reflections on yoga and meditation
What does it mean to be “good” at yoga and/or meditation?
After 41 years of practice, I do not know.
What is yoga and meditation anyway?
I know yoga and meditation by how they feel, by their effects on me much like Plato says we know life by the reflections on the cave walls.
