Yoga and meditation are like giant rock polishers that help smooth out the rough spots of our being.

It’s all nature!
Ignoring us as nature is like a tree acting as if it does not have roots.
Falling into life
Some physical therapists describe walking as a sort of “controlled” fall or series of falls, yet still staying enough balanced not to tumble to the ground.
Let this be a metaphor for how we live as we “fall” into life, always letting go to our next step forward, yet usually maintaining enough balance not to hit the ground.
Dropping into meditation
At times, dropping into meditation is like descending a staircase. We take one step at a time gradually going deeper.
At other times, we drop into meditation more quickly as though on a child’s slide.
Wheeee!
Bring on that selfie smile!
We do so much to feel good in life.
When you meditate next, try to bring your smile to yourself–a gentle inner smile to and from the heart.
Then, observe what happens…
Life moves!
I am a process of living,
not a destination.
Beyond words
We need metaphor and parable to talk about the ineffable, about the silent force that moves all things.
More silent than any word…
A lifetime to practice
Drip by drip water wears away stone.
Regularly practice your yoga and meditation!
Drip by drip…
Expanding joy!
Joy rises and swells in the heart like a helium balloon about to pop.
Keeping really amazing company!
We all know the benefits of keeping good company.
What energy do you chose to keep company with in your thoughts and feelings?
I practice meditation and yoga to regularly try to keep company with the highest available at the time, to let its company suffuse and transform my being and my life.
