Bliss is naturally intoxicating and uplifting.
It is a natural high that stills the mind and the heart absorbing all our attention as who we normally think of as ourselves dissolves into it.
The same Light shines equally on and through us all.
We can, if we so desire, honor it–respect and love it–with how we live.
We all have our own unique ways of doing this!
Meditation and yoga are fantastic voyages to the center of your being.

There are days in meditation and yoga when it takes a long time for us to settle down and grow quieter.
Be thankful, that with patience and faith, it eventually does!
The funny thing is once you are there, you realize this quiet space has been there all along, and always is.

Anger sometimes feels out of control.
We often and quite sensibly feel the need to control it, being rightfully uneasy with it and its potentially damaging consequences.
We may fear this out-of-control moment endemic in anger.
Meditation and yoga give us the fortitude and steadiness and sensitivity to ride out its tantrum, to let its out-of-controlledness just be.
This is a quality of some anger, but not of us. We can accept and witness it.
The funny thing is that shortly after you are present to this feeling of being out of control, the anger dissipates and vanishes in almost a poof like the magician’s disappearing act.
We can then decide how we act: we can chose whether and how we respond.
Anger is not the problem. Letting it control us is!
So often grace comes to us garbed in a fashion that we fail to recognize its presence–so contrary to what we want or expect we fail to see it.
Confused and bewildered by the “circumstances,” I find myself asking in my heart, “Where is there grace in this? Is there grace in this?”
I then need to step back from my assumptions and be open, patient, and trusting of what, in time, may unfold.
Like a beach walker searching for treasures beneath the sand out of sight yet detectable, we can openly and curiously explore our circumstance for the treasures which on the surface of things we fail to see.
The expansive space does not judge.
Is there any limit to our expansiveness?
Judging myself for feeling bad is the opposite of spaciousness.
Meditation and yoga grow this expansive space gracing us with greater freedom and acceptance.
Every day as I practice meditation and yoga, I feel like I am getting a slight adjustment to the prescription of my the lenses through which I see and experience the world.
As with any trip to the eye doctor, even the slightest of adjustments can make the world appear totally different!
A regular practice of yoga and/or meditation can rewire us–physically, mentally, emotionally… literally shifting our consciousness and transforming how we see and live in the world.
This energy is a mystery we let go to and learn to trust through the practices.
