Getting to the core of things

At the bottom of the core from the base of the spine arises the amazing power, the kundalini shakti.

Most digestion and absorption of food energy and nutrients occur in the core.

Our hips and pelvis from which our legs descend and our torso ascends are the fundamental bony structures holding and protecting our core.

The core is the source of our gut know-how.

Tend your core through yoga–strengthen and stretch it.

Thank your core!

It is, after all, the core of your being!

Finding your sweet spot or Giving life your best shot!

Golfers and tennis and baseball players know it.  The sweet spot.  A ball hit just right, or pretty dang close to it.

Almost effortless action, it feels so good.

Yoga and meditation can carry us into this space–the sweet spot.

And just as a player practices to get more shots or hits in this zone, the goal is to have  even poor shots not so far off the mark.

This takes lots of practice.

We practice meditation and yoga not only for its immediate benefits but for how it helps us live our daily lives.

Meditate and do yoga regularly.  Practice to find your sweet spot.

This practice can help you live so that even your poor shots or actions are in closer proximity to the zone–the sweet spot!

Happy birthday, life!

Every moment is a birthday moment for the life force as it flows through us.

You needn’t blow out candles or bake a cake, but stop every once in awhile and offer your thanks to that which enlivens you, me, nature….

Happy birthday to you, life!

Namaste!
