There are irritants in life.
How carried away are you by the buzzing mosquito?
Remember, there’s always the echo of the gong dissipating into silence.
There are irritants in life.
How carried away are you by the buzzing mosquito?
Remember, there’s always the echo of the gong dissipating into silence.
You know, I’ve been getting “older” since I was born.
How about you?
This body, right now.
This breath, this moment.
Life in this body is a trip! A journey…
Yoga helps my consciousness and body talk and learn from one another. Yoga supports an ongoing conversation between this body and consciousness to change, adapt, and grow.
The breath is here now.
How much can we relax into it and at the same time be attentive and alert?
This is yoga.
How do you say thank you to the breath?
Is my glass half-empty or half-full?
Let me be thankful just for the glass!
In meditation or yoga today, where will the winds of my breath carry me?
I breathe deeply, spread my wings and am ready….
In the quiet space of meditation, there is room to relax, and smile, and giggle a little.
Luxuriate in this space as you would in the warm sun in a meadow, a clearing in the forest.
There is no escaping life’s pain and suffering,
But there is love,
Such a sweet smile
Like rose petals of the heart,
We can offer one another.
In meditation today, I felt the following: May my meditation and yoga take a softer, gentler approach over time, with persistence not insistence, with impassioned patience, with love.
The tension we hold onto has so much to do with the tension we are used to.
Such is true with our state too. Habitual, comfortable… to venture out of it is the unknown.
Meditation and yoga gradually shift our state of being, how we are in the world. Practice consistently over time. It’s a lifelong process.
Posts of The Every Day Yogi may, for the next 10 days, be a bit sporadic due to visitors.
However, yoga and/or meditation continued every day! ❤️
